The Benefits of Beginner Gear
Starting from the Orange belt level, we're emphasizing the need for beginner gear. This decision has been made with the intent of elevating the training experience for each participant.
Protection First: The beginner gear, consisting of leg and arm guards, is pivotal in protecting the arms, legs, hands, and feet. As students practice with more intensity, this gear acts as a safeguard against any unintentional injuries.
Practical Experience: Equipped with the right gear, students can take part in more exercises and partner work during class. Engaging with a real partner offers invaluable experience, teaching students the nuances of movement, distance, and timing.
Building Confidence: Confidence is built not just by knowing the moves but by practicing them in genuine scenarios. With protective gear on, students can safely train with real targets, thereby amplifying their confidence and skills in sparring situations or potential real-life encounters.
Kicking Powerfully: Practicing powerful kicks on bags allows students to harness their full strength without the fear of injury. The protective gear ensures that they can kick as hard as they want while minimizing any risk.
Why Now?
During the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, we paused the requirement for beginner gear to ensure maximum safety by minimizing close contact among students. But as we evolve with the times and the Rock Creek community feels more comfortable with proximity, we see this as an opportune moment to bring back this essential aspect of training.
Your Role
For this progressive step to be fruitful, it's imperative that all students have and bring their beginner gear to each class. When every student is well-equipped, the entire class can delve into advanced exercises and drills, making each session richer and more comprehensive.
Special Offer
We understand the value of commitment and dedication. For those in the Black Belt Club or anyone possessing a blue uniform, the beginner gear is available at a reduced price of $25. Beginning the new year the Orange bag and its gear will be $45. We've made this adjustment to ensure that everyone can gain the gear quickly and without much hassle.
